There are so many opinions about what you shouldn't do during pregnancy - you shouldn't exercise like you did before pregnancy, you shouldn't drink coffee, you shouldn’t eat fish…..it goes on!
As a first time mum this can be hugely overwhelming and you might not agree with these opinions but you go along with them, just in case. A book that gives you facts and not opinions is, Expecting Better by Emily Oster. Oster is a Professor in Economics (no medical background at all) and her book gives you the pro's and cons of different scenarios based on statistics. In her words,
"The key to good decision making...is taking information, the data, and combining it with your own estimates of pluses and minuses".
As an expectant mum, this gives you the information and confidence to make an informed decision about your pregnancy, rather than being told that this is what is right for you.
